This quote comes from a favorite story of mine—from me—in, "You, Me and the Rest of Us." The setup is that a former lover is talking to the main character about him finally deciding to leave his small town and live in New York City. The inspiration for this story was pulled from my real life move to Dorchester, South Carolina. This is basically a reverse of that life event and full of little moments I made up or stole from the the world.”
